ESU Conference 2008 on entrepreneurship
Bodø Graduate School of Business and Nordland Research Institute
22nd to 26th August 2008, Bodø, Norway

The fourth ESU conference is arranged in Norway at the Bodø Graduate School of Business and Nordland Research Institute in August 2008. This year, a special focus is given on social and community entrepreneurship. A faculty consisting of established and well-known researchers will give lectures in plenary sessions and assist the students in paper sessions. In the paper session, the participants will get an opportunity to present and discuss their own research projects and the submitted papers. The ESU conference in 2008 will be arranged in combination with a PhD-course, giving an opportunity to the student to obtain 10 ECTS credits.

Conference Location
The fourth ESU conference will take place in Bodø, “The Capital of the sea eagles”. Bodø is a modern regional centre with about 45 000 inhabitants. Bodø is situated north of the Artic Circle between mountains, fjords and islands. The conference will be too late on the summer to see the midnight sun; however, the days are still long. To see some pictures from Bodø and surroundings and to get some vacation tips in the Nordland county, please look at Visit Nordland.

Conference Venue
The conference is arranged at the Bodø Graduate School of Business, Mørkved Campus, about 10 km from Bodø city centre. For more information about the Bodø Graduate School of Business, click here. For more information about Nordland Research Institute, click here. Bus transport from the hotels to the campus will be arranged. To see a map of Bodø city centre, click on map.

Pre-conference Mountain Hiking
For those who arrive Thursday 21st August, we will arrange a light mountain-hiking tour in the evening. The tour will go to the mountain Keiservarden, with a magnificent view of the town, the surrounding fjords and the Lofoten islands. Bring good footwear.
